Les Arcs, a Resort Shaped by Pioneers
Les Arcs was born in 1968 from the vision of a high-mountain guide, Robert Blanc, and an entrepreneur, Roger Godino.
Together they imagined a resort in harmony with the landscape, whose architecture was partly entrusted to Charlotte Perriand, a great figure of 20th-century design.
Arc 1600, Arc 1800, Arc 2000 and the village of Arc 1950 each have their own character, linked by a ski area that rises to the Aiguille Rouge, at over 3,200 metres.
During the 1992 Olympic Winter Games, Les Arcs hosted the speed skiing events on its famous “kilomètre lancé” run.
Today, together with Peisey-Vallandry, Villaroger and La Plagne, Les Arcs forms Paradiski, one of the largest ski areas in France.

How long is the transfer to Les Arcs?
Allow around 1 hour 45 to 2 hours 15 from Chambéry, 2 hours 45 to 3 hours 15 from Lyon-Saint-Exupéry and from Geneva, and 5 to 6 hours from Zurich, depending on the village and road conditions.
From Geneva, we favour the scenic route along Lake Annecy, and always on Saturdays; if you prefer the motorway, simply let us know when you make your request.

Arc 1950 is a pedestrian village: we drop you off at the access point provided for vehicles, as close as possible to your residence, and your chauffeur helps you with your luggage.
